Please find hereby some Pro Tools sessions templates provided as a support for Renaissance Dolby Surround Encoded Library users who own a Digidesign TDM Pro Tools workstation.
You can download these sessions for free and use them in your surround productions.
In order to use these sessions you must have a Pro Tools TDM equipped system and the required plug ins.
Please remind that in order to DOWNLOAD our free Pro Tools sessions you have to register before.
These sessions are provided just as examples of use of the library during some surround production situations and they are downloadable absolutely for free.
For use of Pro Tools software please refer to your Pro Tools manual. For use of others 3rd parts plug-ins such as Dolby tools, Kind of Loud Smart Pan Pro, Realverb, Waves etc. please refer to the plug ins manuals.

NOTE: The following PT sessions have been configurated according to Digidesign Pro Control outputs assignment. The outputs have been assigned as follow:

· Left=Out 1
· Right= Out 2
· Center= Out 5
· LFE= Out 6
· Surround Left= Out 3
· Surround Right=Out 4>

If you don't own a Pro Control unit you need either to reassign the out channels of your PT session or conform your console routing assignments.
Either Dolby Surround LCRS and 5.1 setups will both work with the following configuration. Infact all of the templates when set up for Dolby Surround LCRS will automatically assign equal signal at Out 3 and 4 for surround mono channel.

A note for calibration: For proper calibration of your studio please refer to Dolby internet site and download proper documentation.

PRO TOOLS SESSIONS DESCRIPTION:
Dolby Encode: Standard procedure with Dolby Surround encoding
Dolby Encode (S1): Standard procedure with Dolby Surround encoding with Waves S1 for surround editing
SPP Dolby LCRS: Mix LCRS situation using Kind of Loud SSP and Dolby encoding tools.
Decode LCRS: Mix situation with use of the decoded library for repositioning and final encoding.
LCRS to mono: Transform a LsRs track of the library to mono for re-panning and final encoding.
5.1 Mix: 5.1: Mix situation using Renaissance decoded library and Kind of Loud SPP.
5.1 Mix: 5.1 (no SPP): Mix situation using Renaissance decoded library (if you don't own Kind of Loud SPP).
5.1 Mix (PS-22): This is the same session of 5.1 mix except that uses PS 22 to transform the mono surround decoded channel in a stereo Ls/Rs signal.
LCRS natural to 5.1 LsRs A: Transform Renaissance LCRS natural ambient track in 5.1 surrounding mix. Requires Kind of Loud Realverb.
LCRS natural to 5.1 LsRs B: Transform Renaissance LCRS natural ambient track in 5.1 surrounding mix. Requires Waves Trueverb.
LCRS natural to 5.1 LsRs C: Transform Renaissance LCRS natural ambient track in 5.1 surrounding mix. Requires Lexiverb.
